Emerging technologies and innovations are set to revolutionize our lives like never before. You’ve probably already noticed the buzz around AI is becoming a mega-hit in the headlines. But have you ever wished for a robot maid, like Rosie from The Jetsons, to assist with household tasks? Well, with the help of advancements being made in this field, this might soon become a reality.

Luxury home automation includes the control of household features, activities, and appliances, and has come a long way from the futuristic visions of the past. Remember Rosie from The Jetsons? The lovable robot maid from the 1960s TV show is closer to reality than you might think.

As artificial intelligence, robotics, and IoT technologies mature, the dream of truly intelligent home features is coming. Now that branches of AI are starting to make their way into smart home automation, you might be curious what to expect.

  • Artificial Intelligence – AI uses computer systems and algorithms to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Generative AI – GenAI is a type of AI that can create new content, such as text, images, videos, and even code, by analyzing large datasets and identifying patterns.
  • Machine Learning – ML is a subset of AI that involves developing systems that can learn and improve from data, without being explicitly programmed.

Major corporations like Apple currently have teams working on various in-home robotic devices and the AI software functionalities that might be able to make a household robot useful for consumers. In addition, Amazon has an “Astro” robot that they sell by invitation, which can navigate the home, remotely check specific rooms, people, and things when the user is away.
