How Attivo Cloud Stayed Online During Global Outages

On October 20th, Amazon Web Services (AWS) experienced one of its largest outages of the year that rippled through data centers and caused major slowdowns across multiple regions.

Then, less than ten days later, Microsoft Azure followed with its own widespread service disruption, taking down parts of Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive across North America, Europe, and Asia.

But while the rest of the digital world scrambled to reconnect, Attivo Cloud didn’t flinch.

As an AttivoERP customer, you stayed online with your Macola system running smoothly — achieving 100% uptime and zero performance issues.

The recent global outages that disrupted major platforms were caused by backend failures within their shared public cloud infrastructures — including DNS routing errors and content delivery network (CDN) failures that cascaded across multiple regions. These events underscored how interconnected and vulnerable large, multi-tenant ecosystems can be.

Attivo Cloud, on the other hand, remained fully operational with zero downtime or performance impact. That’s because our systems are hosted and managed entirely within our own private-cloud infrastructure, independent from AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

While we may look to integrate with larger cloud providers in the future, today’s model gives us full visibility and control over every layer of our environment — from hardware to virtualization. That independence proved critical during the recent outages.

Here’s what makes that difference possible:

Independent Infrastructure:

  • Attivo Cloud doesn’t rely on any public cloud backbone. Our systems are hosted in fully segregated, purpose-built data centers designed for maximum isolation and uptime.

Private-Cloud Architecture:

  • We control every layer — from hardware and networking to virtualization — eliminating the “upstream” risks that cause multi-tenant outages in shared environments.

Geographic Redundancy:

  • Our core systems are mirrored across multiple, independent facilities. If one region experiences an issue, operations continue seamlessly elsewhere.

No Shared Dependencies:

  • Because we don’t depend on third-party platforms for routing, APIs, or maintenance, disruptions in global cloud ecosystems don’t touch our network.

Even during the recent AWS and Azure outages, your Attivo Cloud environment remained fully operational — with zero downtime or disruption.  Macola EBizCharge users experienced temporary downtime outside of our Attivo Cloud, but the core Attivo Cloud infrastructure, managed and monitored by our team, continued to perform exactly as designed — stable, secure, and unaffected.

These events highlight a critical truth: reliability doesn’t come from size — it comes from architecture. The largest public cloud systems in the world offer scale, but that scale comes with shared vulnerabilities. When one piece fails, the ripple effects are global.

At AttivoERP, we believe your business deserves protection. Our private-cloud model prioritizes stability, control, and continuity — giving you the confidence that your ERP, operations, and data are protected no matter what’s happening elsewhere.

So while headlines warned of widespread outages, your systems kept running, your teams kept working, and your customers never knew the difference. That’s the real value of being on Attivo Cloud — independence that works for you!
