We had a wonderful, interactive webinar on Payment Processing through Exact Macola, in which we answered all kinds of questions regarding how to safely and easily process Credit Cards through their current ERP system.
What is PCI compliance?
PCI stands for Payment Card Industry, and the Payment Card Industry Council (PCIC) is made-up of all the major credit card brands, such as American Express, Visa, Discover and MasterCard. Although being PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry – Data Security Standard) is not a law, if you don’t follow the guidelines set-up by the council and your customers’ credit cards are hacked you may be subject to fines, card replacement costs, costly forensic audits, brand damage, etc., should a breach event occur. This could be anywhere to $5,000 – $100,000 per month that you were found non compliant.
The good news is that becoming PCI compliant is fairly simple for Exact Macola users. We’ve moved the risk out of your business by utilizing tokenization technology. The credit card that you enter into the EBiz Charge system is replaced by a token and the card is sent to our highly secure server. When you’re ready to process credit cards, the token will allow you to process a client’s credit card right in the Macola system without the security worry. This has saved our clients many hours of time, all while adding payment options for their customers.
Live Q&A session
Here are just some of the questions we answered during the webinar:
1. Can we process the payment at the time of Order Entry instead of at billing?
2. Why is pre-authorization important for credit card processing?
3. If we have another reseller, or work with Exact Direct, can we still start using EBiz Credit Card Processing for Macola?
