Cloud Hosting FAQ

Straight Answers About The Attivo Cloud

About the Attivo Cloud

What is the Attivo Cloud and how is it different from other cloud providers?
The Attivo Cloud is a dedicated private cloud — your environment is , not shared with everyone else. It runs on Switch data centers, the world’s only Tier 5 Platinum Exascale ecosystem, and is SOC 1 Type 2 certified. Our team implements and supports ERP and business software — so when something goes wrong, we can tell a hosting problem from an application problem and fix it. That’s something AWS or Azure simply can’t offer.
What does the Attivo Cloud include?
Everything: dedicated private servers, FortiGate enterprise firewall, HTTPS TLS encrypted connections, multi-factor authentication, nightly SQL database backups with hourly transaction logs, VEEAM server image snapshots retained 4 weeks locally and copied to a secondary data center, 99% uptime SLA, 24/7 monitoring, and monthly performance reports. It’s a fully managed environment — you focus on the business, we handle the infrastructure.
Do I need an IT team to manage the Attivo Cloud?

Not for the infrastructure — we manage the servers, security, backups, updates, and monitoring. That’s a big part of why cloud hosting for small business makes sense: enterprise-grade infrastructure without needing someone in-house to run it.

If you have an IT team, they’re still useful for workstation-level support. We cover the ERP expertise your system runs on, so your team can focus on the rest.

Security & infrastructure

How secure is the Attivo Cloud?
AttivoERP is SOC 1 Type 2 certified — independently audited security controls verified by the AICPA. The infrastructure runs on Switch Tier 5 Platinum data centers, protected by FortiGate enterprise firewalls, MFA on every user, HTTPS TLS encryption on all connections, and VEEAM backups to both local and secondary data centers. Your data is monitored 24/7 and any failure triggers an immediate alert.
What happens if there’s a hardware failure or data loss?
Full server image snapshots via VEEAM run nightly for database servers and weekly for all others, retained 4 weeks locally and copied to a secondary data center. SQL databases are backed up nightly with hourly transaction logs. In a worst-case scenario, we restore quickly from a recent snapshot — minimizing data loss and downtime.

Moving to the Cloud

What does migration look like and how long does it take?
We assess your full environment — every system, add-on, integration, and application — then build and test the cloud environment before cutover. Most businesses are live within a few weeks. Your team accesses everything the same way they always have, just without the on-premise servers. We do the heavy lifting.
Do you support add-ons and third-party integrations?

Yes. Handheld scanners, WMS, Crystal Reports, EDI, payment processing, etc. — if it runs in your environment today, we configure it to run in ours. Everything gets assessed upfront so there are no surprises.
